Ayurveda advises that it is best to rid the body of waste as soon as possible in the morning. Proper elimination from the colon and bladder ensures your body’s proper functioning. If you wait until later in the morning or the day, you are slowly poisoning yourself due to accumulation of lingering toxins and waste, and creating an opportunity for chronic conditions to arise.
- If you have sluggish bowel movements, drink a mug of freshly boiled, very warm water every morning as soon as your awaken, before you eat or drink anything else. Add fresh ginger to the second serving, but only if you are not prone to acid reflux.
- Rid the body of waste as soon as possible in the morning.
- Squat to evacuate your bowels, especially if you have constipation or difficulties clearing your bowels.
